The scope and type of the collection and use of your data depends on whether you visit our website solely for the purpose of accessing information or to use the services offered by us:
3. a) Internet Usage
For merely informational use of our website, it is generally not necessary for you to provide personal data.
Rather, we only collect and use those of your data that your internet browser automatically transmits to us, such as:
Date and time of accessing one of our web pages
• Your browser type
• Browser settings
• The operating system used
• The page you last visited
• The amount of data transmitted and the access status (file transmitted, file not found, etc.)
• Your IP address.
We only collect and use this data during an informational visit in a non-personal form. This is done to enable the use of the websites you have accessed, for statistical purposes, and to improve our online offerings. We store the IP address only for the duration of your visit; a personal evaluation does not take place. No merging of this data with other data sources is performed, and the data will be deleted after a statistical evaluation. This is permissible in line with the decision of the European Court of Justice of 19.10.2016 (Case No.: C 582/14) even in consideration of the Telemedia Act.
3. b) Use of Offers or Data Use for Fulfillment of Tasks
Insofar as you wish to use services offered by us, it may be necessary for you to provide further data. These are the data required for the respective processing. You may provide additional details voluntarily; these will be marked as optional by us.
The collection or use of your data occurs for the purpose of providing the necessary service you requested.
Your data may be transmitted for the aforementioned purpose to service providers who support us, whom we have carefully selected and contractually obligated to comply with data protection law. This may involve technical service providers or shipping service providers.
Otherwise, the transmission of your data to other third parties only takes place if this is permitted by law or if we have obtained your explicit consent for it.
4. Data Protection Consent
Beyond the processing of the services you requested, we would like to offer you – of course only if you explicitly consent to this in a separate place – a website tailored to your interests.
For this, it is technically necessary that we consolidate your accrued and provided data into usage profiles and evaluate these for the aforementioned purposes. This is done solely internally and only for the aforementioned purposes.
For the publication of image material that is subject to your copyright or on which you are depicted, we may also require your consent.
You can give your consent separately. You can revoke it at any time with effect for the future.
The consent regarding cookies or advertising trackers is handled according to § 6 of this declaration below.
5. Newsletter
In order to sign up for our email newsletter service, we need, in addition to your data protection consent, at least your email address, to which the newsletter is to be sent.
Any further details are voluntary and will be used to address you personally and to tailor the content of the newsletter, as well as to clarify any queries regarding the email address.
For the delivery of the newsletter, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure, meaning we will only send you the newsletter after you have confirmed your registration via a confirmation email sent to you for this purpose, containing a link.
This is to ensure that only you can register as the owner of the provided email address for the newsletter.
Your confirmation must be made promptly after receiving the confirmation email, otherwise, your newsletter registration will be automatically deleted from our database.
You can unsubscribe from a newsletter you have subscribed to with us at any time. You can either send us an informal email or use the link at the end of the newsletter to cancel your subscription.
6. Use of Cookies
We use cookie technology for our website.
Cookies are small text files that are sent by our web server to your browser during your visit to our websites and are stored by your browser on your computer for later retrieval.
We also use so-called web beacons (invisible graphics). Through these web beacons, information such as visits to our websites can be evaluated.
The information generated by cookies and web beacons about the use of this website (including the IP address of the users) and the delivery of advertisements may also be transmitted to and stored on servers of Google LLC in the European Union and the USA. (cf. No. 8).
The transmitted data cannot be merged with other data stored by you.
You can determine whether cookies can be set and retrieved through your browser settings.
You can completely disable the storage of cookies in your browser, restrict it to certain websites, or configure your browser to automatically notify you whenever a cookie is about to be set and ask for feedback on it.
However, for the full functionality of our website, it is technically necessary to allow the aforementioned session cookies.
As of the enforcement of the General Data Protection Regulation on 25.05.2018, we will request your explicit consent for the use of cookies before their utilization.
7. Right of Revocation and Objection
We would like to point out that you can revoke any data protection consent you may have given to us at any time with effect for the future.
If there are legal requirements for data collection, there is no right of revocation.
8. Use of Statistical Tools such as Google Analytics
It is important for us to design our websites as optimally as possible and thus make them attractive to our visitors. For this, it is necessary for us to know which parts are well received by our visitors.
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service by Google LLC ("Google").
Google Analytics also uses cookies, text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to and stored on a server of Google in the USA.
In the case of the activation of IP anonymization on this website, your IP address will be abbreviated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the agreement on the European Economic Area beforehand.
Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a server of Google in the USA and there be abbreviated. On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide other services related to website usage and internet usage to us as the website operator.
The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent.
Furthermore, you can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link.

9. Data Security
We also employ technical and organizational security measures to protect collected or processed personal data, especially against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or against unauthorized access by third parties.
Our security measures are continually improved according to technological developments.
We provide you with online forms through which you can send personal data to us. These forms are protected from third-party access through the use of TLS encryption.
The data you enter or transmit to us as a file may be stored and processed by us by agreement. If the use and processing of consent from the user or from third parties are required, consent can be revoked at any time without stating reasons.
However, this may affect the fulfillment of the contract by us.
Depending on the service, you may be asked for different entries for identification or prevention of misuse:
9.a) For identification when delivering data, you may be required to enter a custom identifier or other suitable authentication. The data will be protected via SFTP or HTTPS against disclosure to third parties, provided that the user uses the transmission methods recommended by us.
9. b) To prevent use by machines, so-called CAPTCHAs may be used, which contain images or tasks that cannot be processed by computer scripts.
10. Deletion Periods
We store personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose of data storage, as long as there are no statutory retention periods or limitation periods for potentially litigation-related data against deletion (in this case, the processing of the data will be restricted in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR).
